COLE P. ABOD

Cole P. Abod is a music director, orchestrator, pianist, and musical jack-of-all-trades based in New York City. A graduate of the University of Michigan's Jazz & Contemporary Improvisation program, he has freelanced up and down the East Coast and throughout the Midwest. Recent credits include Ragtime (2023 Wilde Award Winner for Best Music Direction) at Flint Repertory Theatre, Bright Star (2022 Wilde Award Winner for Best Music Direction), Songs for a New World, and Fun Home at Farmers Alley Theatre, and The Heart of Robin Hood at U of M. Cole has also orchestrated several full-length musicals, and has performed at Chelsea Table and Stage, Green Room 42, Don't Tell Mama, and The Bowery Electric. He regularly collaborates with songwriters Emma Ashford, L'ogan J'ones, Jacob Ryan Smith, and Billy Reece. Recently, Cole's arrangements were performed by Yo-Yo Ma, and Cole has music directed for several new musical workshops, including for Tony Award winners Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis. | colepabod.com, Instagram: @c.p.abod
